Octocon is the Irish National Science Fiction convention.
This year we're running again online-only FOR FREE on Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd October 2021.
You can watch our panels and interviews live on Twitch, but for all other programme items, you will need to register for Octocon (for free!) and accept our code of conduct.
NOTE: Our Discord server will open on Wednesday September 29th 2021 - registered members will receive a link by email. An email will also be sent with sign-up links for workshops and guest chats.
Opening Times
All times are in Irish time (UTC+1 during Octocon). Check out Time Zone Converter for help with converting to your own time zone.
Note that because this programme reads the time on your device/computer as well, it may hide things that it calculates have already happened for you - there is an option on the Programme page to let you see anything that's been hidden.
- Friday: 19:45 (Opening Ceremony) to 23:00 (+ social time)
- Saturday: 10:00 to 23:00 (+ social time)
- Sunday: 10:00 to 18:30 (Closing Ceremony at 18:00)

Need help?
Whether you need help with the technology or want to report a code of conduct issue, our trained Octocon volunteers are there for you.
If you need help with anything, you can ask in the Discord #help-desk channel or send a message on Discord to @Volunteer.
If you're in a workshop or talk and need assistance, use the chat to get the attention of the Zoom host (who should be clearly labelled). If you're in a Zoom breakout room, you can click Breakout Rooms and then Ask for help to get your Zoom host's attention.
